ERBIL, Kurdistan Region - US forces have struck more than 5,000 targets in the first ten days of Operation Epic Fury against Iran, the US Central Command (CENTCOM) said Tuesday, noting the campaign aims to dismantle Tehran’s security apparatus.
In a post on X, CENTCOM said its forces had struck “over 5,000” targets and left more than 50 Iranian ships “damaged or destroyed” since the campaign began on February 28 at the direction of US President Donald Trump.
CENTCOM added that the operation seeks to “dismantle the Iranian regime’s security apparatus, prioritizing locations that pose an imminent threat.”
According to the Command, targets have included “command and control centers,” headquarters and intelligence sites of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), air defense systems, drone and ballistic missile sites and manufacturing, as well as military communication networks.
