ERBIL, Kurdistan Region - An Iraq-based militia group on Wednesday said it fired one-way drones into Jordan in support of Iran’s war against the United States and Israel. The pro-Tehran group has also claimed responsibility for most of the drone and rocket strikes in the Kurdistan Region.
“In fulfillment of our religious duty and in retaliation for the blood of the wali of Allah, the martyred leader Imam Sayyid Ali al-Husseini Khamenei, and in deterrence of the aggression that led to the martyrdom of a group of Iraqi resistance youth, our brave fighters today, Wednesday (March 4, 2026), carried out an attack with a swarm of drones targeting a vital objective in Jordan,” said Saraya Awliya al-Dam (Guardians of Blood Brigades) in a statement on its Telegram channel.
It remains unclear whether the drones managed to hit the target — described by the group as a “Zionist target in Jordan,” in reference to Israeli-linked sites.
